Mushroom Inoculation

For over a millennium mushrooms have been harvested as a source of food and for their medicinal properties. Participants will learn how to cultivate mushrooms using different methods that can be adapted to fit the grower's unique environment.

What is Mushroom Inoculation? 

Inoculation is the process of taking mushroom spawn and imparting it in a growing space, such as a logs, bags or buckets.

 

In this class, we will share how to prepare and introduce mushroom spawn to their growing space, sealing and how to store your inoculated mushrooms.

The types of mushrooms we may be inoculating are shiitake, oyster, lions mane and reishi.
