About the event
You will learn the process of inoculating oak and maple logs for cultivation of shiitake mushrooms. You will also get to create a bucket or block to grow your own oyster mushrooms. Participants will get to carry home an inoculated log and a bucket or block. The log will begin to produce mushrooms in 8 months to a year. These logs has the potential to produce mushrooms for 3-5 years after initial fruiting The buckets can produce mushrooms in as little as 2 months.
Workshop cost is sliding scale $50 - $75
